«Himmeli» – Geometry and tradition from Finland

until 24 March 2019

The current special exhibition is dedicated to the Scandinavian tradition of "himmeli" – geometric constructions made of straw. The Finnish artist Eija Koski has contributed significantly to keeping alive this particular tradition. These delicate works are usually made in autumn in varying sizes and hung from the ceiling on a thread.
